About Me/FAQ
Who are you?
My name is Sarah and I am a 22-year-old woman who has been engaged to a wonderful man since January 3, 2009. My personal blog can be found here.
Why “et-per-se-and”?
“Et per se and” (or “and per se and”) is the origin of the term “ampersand”. An ampersand (&) is a symbol that means “and”. Because I am using this blog to plan my future wedding, I felt this was an appropriate name. Since ampersands are used in writing to connect two or more items, the ampersand is metaphorically the marriage that will bind me to my fiance.
How did you get engaged?
Eleven days before my 20th birthday, my fiance, his parents, and I spent the day in New York City. On the train ride home, I was snuggled up to him in the seat when he asked me for a kiss. I, of course, obliged. He whispered to me, “I want lots of kisses”, but as I reached up to kiss him again, he pulled away. I was confused, but even more confused when he again said, “Lots of kisses.” This time, when he pulled away, I looked down at his hand - he was holding my engagement ring.
Why don’t you follow back?
I assure you, it’s nothing personal! The reason I don’t follow back on this blog is simple: I want the things on my dashboard to be wedding-related only. This makes it much more simple to run a blog about planning my wedding. If you’re a wedding blog, let me know!
I do almost always follow back on my personal blog, though! So feel free to follow me there :).
